Hi, my name is Rachel and never in a million years did I ever think that I would be a doula. It was only after several years and the birth of my son did I decide to follow this unexpected passion.
I completed my training through Salt Lake community college in May 2017 and am in the process of becoming certified, I am also taking a post partartum training through the midwives college.
Whether your having a un medicated, medicated, hospital, home birth or birthing center, I support you on this incredible journey.
I would love to meet and chat with you about being your doula.
Specialties: High-risk, VBAC, VBAMC, Diabetes during pregnancy (Type 1, Type 2, Gestational).
I first fell in love with birth when I started doing research during my first pregnancy. I knew that I wanted to have an un-medicated labor, and having Type 1 Diabetes would make it harder to achieve, being classified as high-risk and all. During my research I realized that many women don’t know their options during childbirth and many don’t even realize they HAVE options. After having my eyes opened into this magical world of birth I could not close them again, nor did I want to. I want to help every woman feel empowered, supported, knowledgeable, and excited for the birth of their baby.
I am a highly trained and skilled doula in the height of my life's passion. I am in my element when, after weeks of preparation and education, I see a woman and her partner share a secret, knowing look of shimmering emotion that shows all their hard work paid off, in one of life's most precious moments. This moment is further enhanced for me when the woman’s partner has been encouraged and taught how to help and has been a key element in the pregnancy and labor process, without which, things may have turned out much differently. I feel very strongly about being an advisor to birthing women so they can have the birth they intend, without unnecessary interventions due to lack of knowledge or support.
My goal as a doula is simply to improve birth – by helping to reduce physical and emotional trauma, by empowering women through knowledge and practice, and to advocate for safer birth experiences led by a woman’s own body.
I have had one un-medicated hospital birth, one abdominal birth (c-section), and one un-medicated VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean) in the hospital. I believe that regardless of circumstance, all births can be made beautiful with the right support and empowerment. I have experience helping women with un-medicated, medicated, cesarean, and VBAC births. I also have personal and professional experience with high-risk pregnancies, diabetes during pregnancy, and VBACs. I can skillfully educate on things that others may not have reason to know.
I am the Chapter Leader of ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) of Weber/Davis County. In addition to doula services, I also provide The Bradley Method® classes, placenta encapsulation, moxibustion to help turn breech babies, and Bengkung belly binding. I look forward to helping you have a peaceful birth day. #HaveAPeacefulBirthDay
Hello there, Mama to be!
This is the part where I’m supposed to generically tell you how passionate I am about photography and describe myself perfectly so you fall in love with me. Honestly, I hate talking about myself and when we first meet you’ll see that I’m a socially awkward introvert who is terrible at small talk. I don’t want you to hire me for meaningless reasons--I want you to hire me because we connect on a deeper level and believe the experience is worth remembering.
Three weeks after vacationing in Arizona with my husband I woke up feeling off. I took a pregnancy test and when that faint little pink line started to appear I got the surprise of my life! I’m a firm believer that knowledge is power and began researching all of my birth options--I dug really deep. We met with a local birth center and 36 weeks later the birth plan we so carefully planned was out the window.
The day our daughter made her way in to this world was the most intense & transformative experience of my life. In that delivery room I emerged a mother and learned that I'm stronger that I ever knew. I struggled with PPD for about two years post delivery and it was in this dark place that my love for birth photography emerged.
Choose me as your photographer because you trust me. The kind of unwavering trust that you put in choosing your midwife, OB and doula. The kind of trust that says you want me supporting you on the most important day of your life. Choose me because you love my work and want to see your birth story through my eyes.
And if you’re still curious after reading all this…
My name is Lindsey. I’m the woman (wife & mother) behind Born Photography in Salt Lake City, Utah. I’m originally from Texas and say things like “y’all” & “fixin’ to”, minus the Southern accent. I rarely wear make-up and could spend hours sipping a chai latte lost in meaningful thought or conversation. I’m a free-thinking feminist who supports equality for all and could talk about birth all day long.
My goal is simple: To empower & support you on your birth day by providing a series of beautiful images that tell the story of the day you transformed into a mother. You are more beautiful than you know and it would be an honor to preserve this experience for you & your family.
I have been a DONA certified Birth Doula since 2003. I am also an International Childbirth Educators Association (ICCE) childbirth educator. I am on a long slow road to becoming an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I have training in the use of EFT (Meridian Tapping) for birth, which many of my clients enjoy using. My philosophy when it comes to birth is that a woman's body tells us what we need to know to be able to assist her. Family and doula support enable the woman to birth her baby in the way that is best for her.
Hi there! I am the doula behind Treasured Birth Doula Services. I am a wife and mother of four girls, who encourage me to encourage others. My name is Meagan Heaton. I am a Salt Lake City doula including its surrounding areas (Utah/Davis County, Park City, and Tooele)
My whole life I’ve had a deep passion for babies and dreamed of being a labor and delivery nurse for years. I have always felt the desire to help women and infants. After I got pregnant with my first child I became even more aware of just how in love I was with not only babies, but with Pregnancy, Labor, Child Birth and everything that comes after.
My first two children were born via Cesarean Section. Going into the second pregnancy I had an ending goal of a VBAC. My nurse was also a doula and her and I chatted all about doula’s and their roles in a birth setting. She was so wonderful, I was grateful that she was present for most of my birth. After the birth of my second daughter I learned more about the importance of a doula in all types of birth plans. It was soon after that I realized that I really wanted to become a birth doula. I have learned so much along my journey and I can’t wait to keep learning. I recently had my third child and was able to achieve my Vaginal Birth after two Cesareans and it was INCREDIBlE! (feel free to read more about that on my website)
As your Salt Lake City doula I will bring all my passion, love, education and commitment to you, you’re partner and you’re baby. I am so excited for this journey that I have chosen and hope to help many couples through one of the most amazing events of their lives.

Hi I am Mindy a Licensed massage therapist and Birth Doula. In April 2013 I became a prenatal massage specialist at Salt Lake Prenatal Massage where I was able to work with hundreds of prenatal and postpartum clients before becoming the prenatal massage specialist at inSPArations day spa in Layton. I now have my own office in Layton just off Main Street. I have also expanded my prenatal massage and childbirth education training to include Doula training that gives me added comfort techniques for labor, emotional support to help the mother and partner deal with unexpected situations in labor, and mother advocacy to help them create their optimal birth experience. I have also completed Stillbirthday Doula training and am now certifying as a Stillbirthday Doula. The SBD Doula is uniquely qualified to provide support in situations of fatal diagnosis, carrying to term, and NICU care. SBD Doulas are equally prepared to provide comprehensive support in live birth outcomes, including subsequent “rainbow” pregnancies, and can serve as a labor support in all birth situations. I love working with my clients whether it is easing aches and pains during a massage or getting the awe inspiring opportunity to be a part of a birth. I truly love my job and am thankful every day I get to do what I do. 🙂
Thank you for visiting my profile! I look forward to knowing you and your growing family. It is my wish that as you think about this time in your life that your are at ease. I hope that your mind, heart, and memories are filled with the love of your partner, the support of your doula, and the trust earned by your healthcare team. I look forward to hearing about your experiences, fears, and hopes for this birth as we construct a birth and postpartum plan tailored to your specific needs. With the right education, support, and preparation I know that you can have a beautiful birthing time. If we aren't the perfect fit, I'll provide thoughtful referrals for other doulas. I hope that you will find the best doula for you, even if it isn't me. Good luck on your birth journey!
I am a birth doula, childbirth educator, lactation consultant, La Leche League Leader and military veteran. I worked exclusively with military women from 2007-2011. I have participated in continuing education to support birthing women with previous trauma every year since I started. I now work with a wide variety of women with diverse backgrounds and experiences. I enjoy guiding and empowering pregnant and birthing women throughout their birth journey. I have experience supporting women through unmedicated birth, home birth, hospital birth, VBAC, birth at advanced maternal age, using epidural as a tool, special needs birth by cesarean, and vaginal breach birth with multiples. I have worked with couples practicing a wide variety of childbirth education and coping methods such as Hypnobabies, Bradley, HypnoBirthing, Birthing from Within, and Mindful Birthing. I can provide excellent referrals to midwives, OB/GYNs, chiropractors, IBCLCs, and a myriad of other helpful practitioners spanning from Salt Lake City to Logan, Utah. I feel that a good doula will strive to maintain a positive working relationship with your provider(s), so as to foster a safe and peaceful birthing environment. I also run a scholarship program for combat military veterans who can demonstrate financial need. I pushed an initiative to have home birth covered by the Veterans Administration, and can help you through the process of having your claim paid. In some circumstances, I am open to bartering/trading for services. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call or take a look at my website www.mindfulbirthllc.com
***I'm all booked through January of 2018.***
I'm a Doula of North America (DONA) certified birth doula; providing clients with preparation and support for their unique childbirth experience. Over the last 5 years I’ve helped countless families achieve their birth goals! My ability to help facilitate and create the birth experience parent’s desire is unparalleled.
I've received advanced training in breastfeeding, HypnoBirthing, and The Bradley Method of Husband Coached Childbirth and I'm a proud board member for the Utah Doula Association. I support families through a variety of birthing styles, including: water births, vaginal births, cesarean births (planned and unplanned), VBACs (vaginal birth after cesarean), hospital, birth center, and home births.
Clients enjoy: individualized preparation, evidence based information for informed decision making, proven comfort techniques for easier labor and delivery, partner support and engagement for a connected experience, and encouragement and motivation every step of the way!
I grew up in Utah and graduated from Utah State University. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Salt Lake City where I met my husband. We currently live in the Bountidul area and are blessed to have two children which bring sunshine into our home everyday! I enjoy doing yoga, snowboarding, cooking and gardening. I love being outdoors and spending time with my family, camping and hiking in the mountains. I have a zest for life and enjoy learning and trying new things.
My vow to families is to guide them through this special journey; helping them have a positive, empowering, and unique childbirth experience!
When a woman becomes pregnant she begins a very amazing and special journey. One of my favorite birth quotes says, “To be pregnant is to be vitally alive, thoroughly woman, and distressingly inhabited. Soul and spirit are stretched -- along with body -- making pregnancy a time of transition, growth, and profound beginnings." ~Anne Christian Buchanan and Debra K. Kingsporn
With the birth of my first child, I found that a spark was ignited within me. This spark led me to question society’s popular view on birth and gave me strength to follow my heart. I was in awe of my growing belly and my body’s ability to carry and foster a developing baby. I realized that childbirth holds the power to transform women. Giving birth to my son was one of the most amazing, hard, indescribable, and sacred things I’ve ever done.
I want to help women learn, just as I did, that they are powerful, capable, and strong. I want each woman to know her inner strength and trust in her body’s ability to give birth. I believe every woman, and her partner, should invest time and energy into preparing and educating themselves about the process of birth and their choices. As a doula, it’s my role to help facilitate and create the birth experience that parent’s desire.
As a doula, I provide support, encouragement, information, and care to each mother and her partner. I like what author and birth advocate, Marssden Wagner says, “…Respecting the woman as an important and valuable human being and making certain that the woman’s experience while giving birth is fulfilling and empowering, is not just a nice extra, it is absolutely essential as it makes the woman strong and therefore makes society strong.”
As a doula, I am there in addition to, not instead of the partner. The mother’s partner is essential in providing support; they bring intimate knowledge about the mother and love for her and their child that no one else can. It is my role to help the partner support her, ultimately making relationships stronger and bonds tighter in only a way that the birth experience can. With a doula present, the pressure on the partner is decreased, and I can help him participate at a level he is comfortable with; guiding him in effective ways to help the mother through labor.
I also feel that there are times when pain medication and interventions are needed and appropriate. However, too often these decisions are made from fear, convenience, or lack of information. As a doula, it is my role to help the couple understand their options, ask the right questions, and take the time needed to make the best decisions for them. I believe that any well-educated decision, made without pressure or fear, is the right one for a laboring couple and as their doula I support couples in their decisions.
The journey of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood is powerful and inspiring. My vow to families is to guide them through this remarkable journey; helping them to realize the strength and beauty within themselves. The birth experience should be one of joy, love, and empowerment.
My philosophy on birth as a doula was fostered through a variety of experiences: I received a bachelor's degree in anthropology from The University of Illinois at Chicago, where I focused my academic work on traditional birth attendants and how birthing practices varied between cultures. I helped conduct research with the college of nursing on prenatal health care development in the United States and Africa. I was captivated by the supportive, nurturing birth practices I was researching and the positive health outcomes they fostered. This is where I discovered that it takes a strong network of family, community and woman-to-woman support to birth and raise a baby. This is where a doula’s role becomes so valuable as she helps to support each one of these relationships. My experience attending births in my own family and in a professional role have continued to strengthen this concept for me as I have seen a variety of teams work with new mothers to create an empowering birth experience for her. ( I often find it personally empowering as well). I have a strong background in postpartum care from working in a birthing center as postpartum care staff and I was a full-time nanny for 7 years. I attended Brigham Young University for nursing/health science and I am studying to be a nurse and midwife
I am a medical social worker turned Doula with a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. My passion for birth and mothering came in 2015 when I did a rotation through labor and delivery in three hospitals in the Salt Lake Valley. Since that time, I have attended workshops and training courses focusing on health, wellness, and comforting measures during pregnancy and labor. As a natural born advocate, my goal as your doula is to help you achieve the birth experience you dream of having and to provide you with information and resources during your pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period. The following are a few skill sets that set me apart as a doula: I have extensive working experience with both trauma and postpartum depression and feel comfortable helping women if or when these issues arise. I have spent six years living overseas and have the utmost cultural sensitivity. Also, I am proficient in American Sign Language, which has been a really positive part of my life. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your partner to discuss how I can be of help during this transformative time for you and your family.
I am a fully trained doula, currently working toward DONA certification. I support my clients by educating them and their partners, and enabling them make informed decisions. I employ an evidence-based, hands-on approach and tailor my methods to the needs and preferences of my clients. My long-term goals include earning my degree as a certified nurse midwife.
Stephanie is a certified yoga teacher, trained doula and a birth educator. She is the founder of the Bodhi Birth program and works side by side with her husband, Nicolas, at Embody Wellness. She loves educating herself and sharing “what she’s learned so far” with her clients.
Stephanie loves how practicing yoga keeps her living in the present moment, one breath at a time. She is especially passionate about the profound role that yoga plays in pregnancy, emotional health and spirituality. Stephanie is married to Nicolas Sorensen, a gifted massage therapist and energy worker, and together they’re raising happy children.

I am a wife, homeschooling mother, doula, childbirth, educator, belly binder, and hopeful future midwife. I have been blessed with three beautiful boys and the ability to stay home with them. Birth work is my way to give back!
I have had three very different birth experiences; with my first born by cesarean, my second born medicated vaginally, and my third born completely free of any interventions and at home. I am able to look at each experience with love and gratitude. After my last birth at home with a midwife and doula (and having taken an incredible childbirth class during my previous pregnancy...and applying all of the exercises to this last birth) I knew I had to share the incredible strength and knowledge I had collected with other women. If I could do this, so they could they...so can you!
I fully enjoy guiding families to this wealth of knowledge and empowerment. My role and both a Childbirth Educator and a Doula is to support families in embracing their roles as parents.
I am a lover of the outdoors. I am a dancer. I am a doula. I am Birthing From Within Mentor. I am a student midwife.
I have a BS degree in Psychology and minor in Family and Human Development; while raising my four children I have intermittently worked as a social worker in a variety of settings and have always assisted women and families. It has been an easy transition from social worker to birth worker. I am currently working on my 2nd bachelors degree, studying at Midwives College of Utah. I find it an honor to assist women and appreciate their trust in allowing me in their birth space. My desire is for expectant parents to prepare for and feel empowered in their birth experience no matter the outcome. I believe birth should be a rite of passage and the journey should be explored and cherished.
I love supporting families in doula care and childbirth education.

My name is Amanda Jenkins and I love birth! I am the second oldest of 8 children and was able to witness 3 of my younger siblings’ births as they were born at home. As a child I loved reading all of my mom’s books about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and mothering and grew up excited to experience birth myself.
My husband and I had our little boy in 2013 at a freestanding birth center with an amazing midwife. It was everything I had ever dreamed of and more. With the support of my birth team, I felt so loved, protected, and empowered. I recently had our second child at the same birth center and had an equally, if not better, experience.
Since experiencing it myself, my love for birth has just kept growing! I decided that I needed to become a Doula and help other women discover their dream birth experience as well. I am a certified Doula through the Childbirth International Doula program and also spent some time volunteering with the U of U Doula program. I believe every woman deserves to have their best birth possible, and I want to help you achieve that goal.
I have experience supporting women in their births at home, birthing centers and hospitals.
I am a Certified Hypnobabies instructor.
I became passionate about birth with each of my own birth experiences.
For my first Son, I prepared for a natural birth using another hypnosis method. However, I lacked the tools I needed for his birth and ended up using an epidural which I was very grateful for. For my Second birth, I had a cesarean. After that experience, I was determine to do everything I could to avoid another unnecessary cesarean. I prepared with Hypnobabies and had a wonderful hospital VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). My fourth baby was born peacefully at home with the care of an amazing midwife. Each of my births has helped me understand how powerful and healing birth can be. It has helped me understand and connect with other moms who have gone through different experiences. I believe that with the right knowledge, preparation, and tools, pregnancy can be wonderful and empowering! That is why I love Hypnobabies and want to share this gift with others expectant mothers!
My goal as a doula is to help my clients and their partners feel empowered and confident about their pregnancy and birth. Birth is so beautiful and I want to help families experience a strengthening and empowering birth.
I would love to meet with you about becoming your doula!

I have been a Hypnobabies Instructor and birth doula since 2012. Birth is my passion and I love teaching childbirth classes. It is so rewarding to see a student's eyes light up when they learn that birth can be a peaceful, joyous event. Motherhood is a journey and I am dedicated to educating, supporting, and encouraging women (and their partners) through their journey.
I have been blessed with five beautiful children. They each have made their entrance into the world in different ways ( two medicated and three natural). Birth and motherhood have taught me much about myself and helped me to grow and learn in powerful ways. When I became pregnant with my third child, I prepared for his birth by taking the Hypnobabies course. For the first time, I experienced the way birth is meant to be - gentle, kind, and peaceful, and it transformed me in such a powerful way. I knew immediately after his birth that I wanted to be a Hypnobabies Childbirth Instructor and doula.
From a young age, I have always thought birth should be a natural occurrence. My mom birthed all of us naturally, including myself, and my twin sister. That seems to have just stuck in my brain, and I love it! I also love the advances in modern medicine, that save so many lives. Being a doula is about helping you find the right balance for your birth.
With 21 years as a doula, I've been blessed to help hundreds of mothers in the birthing and postpartum experience. This has filled my soul! I love supporting pregnant women and helping them navigate the journey that lies ahead of them. Delivering my five children were the five best days of my life! I want to help you to make childbirth the best day of your life too.
I loved labor! I want to instill in women the desire to trust their innate abilities to birth. Child birth should not be feared but looked forward to! I am an incredible birth doula, the go-to postpartum doula in Utah, a college professor, a vocalist and pianist, a loving wife, mother and adoring grandma! Let me know how I can assist you in celebrating new life!
Call soon (801-638-3189), my schedule fills quickly.
I am a childbirth educator, DONA trained birth doula and Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula. I was put on the path to become a doula after two challenging birth experiences. I learned during my training that there were more empowering and educated choices available. I knew that I wanted to share those options with women and I could make a difference one family at a time. Through much study and preparation I was able to have my own beautiful birth. This powerful experience propelled me even more to help women and families have more positive births and begin their journey to motherhood feeling strong and capable.
I teach How to Birth Like a Rock Star childbirth classes. This program is designed to accommodate women who are seeking an un-medicated birth as well as those planning an epidural. Rock Star is a complete childbirth education that focuses on healthy lifestyle, knowledge and informed consent, as well as meditation and exercises to promote relaxation in labor.
I believe that birth is a monumental event in a woman’s life. It is a day the she will remember forever. It is my hope that every woman may feel valued and powerful during her birthing time. That she will look back on the birth of her baby with great joy. As you prepare to welcome your new baby into your arms, may you choose to have a doula present to support you.
Hi! My name is Makenzie and I am all about inspiring empowerment in women especially during pregnancy and birth. I believe birth is a vulnerable and powerful time that inevitably morphs all of us. I am here to serve women and their families to make it the most incredible and awe inspiring time of their lives that they will not only look back on fondly, but feel empowered and stronger from as well.
I have worked in the birth community for 10 years. During that time I have been privileged to help many families to bring new life into their lives. I enjoy getting to know my clients and serving them the best that I can. I am a firm believer in trusting what my clients have to say about their pregnancy and own body. No one knows them better than themselves.
Hi! I am a birth doula of 6 years and a Certified Lactation Counselor of 2 years. My passion is to support all women in their journey to motherhood. My own journey into motherhood is what led me to the incredible world of birth work! I had the most amazing support and wished the same for every birthing woman, so I became a doula!
A woman's birth story, the one that she will remember and reflect on for years to come, is so important and sacred to me. My goal is to help facilitate in making that story a positive one, in whatever way the birth unfolds. I am always in awe and honored to be by her side!
My other 'birthy' passion is breastfeeding. I became a CLC in 2014 when I began noticing that many new moms didn't have the proper support to successfully breastfeed their newborns in those first few days. I wanted to aid in and promote a positive breastfeeding experience right from the start, the moment that little baby was born. My training has empowered me to support women in their wishes to breastfeed their infants without pain and frustration. I love seeing these new moms smile when their newborn latches on successfully!
Welcome! My name is Kasaundra Trout and I am a trained Curtis Method HypnoDoula with Eden's Roots, LLC. I serve both Utah and Salt Lake Counties. It is my belief that women have the instinct to travel down this path already deep within themselves. Generations have come before and they remind you that "yes, you can." As a doula, I am but a guardian of your birth memory. I provide the unbiased and educated support you deserve from conception to birth. You know your body, your partner knows you, and I know birth. Your memories are waiting.

I've given birth with an epidural, naturally and by an emergency c-section. These diverse birth experiences have formed my flexibility in being able to go with the flow of any birth and I provide care accordingly.
I love the season of the childbearing year, and I enjoy assisting women as they step into their power while giving birth from their true nature. I want you to have the birth that your heart desires.
Please call, text or visit my website or contact me by filling out the form below. I'd love to meet you and implement how I can best meet your expectations. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
1 in 3 moms will end their pregnancy with a cesarean. Doulas are trained and experienced in techniques and physical and emotional skills to reduce your risk of cesarean by at least 50%, some recent studies suggest that this may be 60%-80%.
I believe every mom who wants Doula support should be able to receive it. I am personally fond of, and specialize in caring for moms who are first time moms, moms who have had a previous cesarean and are striving for a VBAC (vaginal birth after a cesarean) and moms who have had previous birth trauma. It is my hope that with the right support, education and encouragement that these 3 groups of moms can have a beautiful and positive birth experience. That they may take with them knowledge to carry over to later pregnancies and birth experiences and that they may know that they are strong and capable of handling tough life events.
I graduated from UVU with my B.S. in family studies. Before heading back to school I was a medical assistant for ten years. In 2008 I became intrigued with the options surrounding birth. My first two boys born 16 and 14 years ago I was not informed and therefore not prepared for my birthing experiences. After having my boys I had a gut feeling and I just knew that there had to be a better, more peaceful way to birth babies.
My Qualifications: Family Life Educator, and trained Birth and Post-Partum Doula.
If you don't know what your options are, then you don't have any!
Serving Southern Utah.
First name pronounced "Shell."
Mother of 3, health and fitness professional (a.k.a. personal trainer), and have just begun the process of certifying with DONA. While I didn't have a professional doula at my births (2 in a hospital, 1 at home), I was surrounded by a sister, my mother-in-law, and a best friend. Along with my husband, these women encouraged me and supported me through the entire birthing process. Their presence gave me so much strength that I now understand how important a doula's role is for expecting parents.
I am passionate about helping women trust their bodies; I believe that a woman's body is strong and capable of going through and doing hard things, and I am here to help facilitate a peaceful, yet empowering birth experience.
~ I love being a doula! My journey of serving expectant and laboring women, as well as assisting their partners or support persons, has been both humbling and inspiring. It is an honor to walk the path alongside them as their lives are forever changed in a truly meaningful way. Each birth is transformative and unique.
~ I have assisted women in childbirth for over 25 years and naturally fell "head over heels" into doula work in 2009, transitioning from social services work into birth work & child birth education. Not only do I have the ideal job, but I thoroughly enjoy each and every client that I am privileged to serve. I am grateful to have apprenticed with Claire Stanley for 2 years and shadow many remarkable doula colleagues. I credit my mother's love of labor and delivery, serving as head nurse, for my passion. In order to serve families more efficiently, In 2014, I linked my productive practice with my fabulous business partners, Angie Rosier and Rachel Britton. (Formerly, In Due Time, Doula Services.) My commitment and devotion would be unfathomable without the support of my business partners, my 5 cool children or my extremely kind and generous husband.
~ Each birth is important and remarkable.! I have worked with a great number of VBAC, twin, special needs, high risk, veteran and high anxiety mamas. Additionally, I teach childbirth education and provide postpartum work, specializing in overnight care with a majority of our babes being multiples. It will be my great pleasure to join you in your journey and serve you, which you certainly deserve.

Growing up in Alaska allowed me to experience the beauty of nature and self confidence to explore life with zeal. After graduating from the University of Alaska with a B.S. in Biology I started on my journey of raising seven beautiful children, three adopted from the foster care system, and supporting my husband in his military career. After adventures in Alaska, Washington and Colorado we planted our roots in Riverton, Utah.
As a certified phlebotomist I contribute to women care in a local Obstetrics and Gynecological office in Riverton, Utah. I am a DONA Trained Doula working towards my Birth and Postpartum Doula certifications. I have experience and training in breastfeeding, an Utah State Emergency Medical Technician certification and a current health care CPR certification. I believe in the empowering experience of childbirth and the positive bonding of breastfeeding. I believe that every woman deserves the knowledge to have an enjoyable, transforming, life changing birth experience.
I am a well-trained doula who is very passionate about what I do! I have trained as a birth doula through DONA International, and through Birth Learning as an Advanced Doula. I have also been trained specifically in working with survivors of abuse - and in the use of a rebozo for comfort during pregnancy, labor, and birth. I am a trained postpartum doula through Midwives College of Utah - an internationally recognized school of midwifery. Additionally, I am a yoga instructor and have worked with women in each trimester of pregnancy.
I believe that birth is normal and natural and that we should trust women and their bodies more! I also believe that having choices and being informed about your options are some of the most empowering and important things in ensuring a positive birth experience. I hope to help all those I serve feel as though they had these things and to come out of birth feeling as powerful and amazing as they are!
The postpartum period is not always recognized as the incredibly significant and important time that it is. I love having the opportunity to nurture and support mothers through this life-changing experience, and to help families make a more smooth transition with the addition of a new baby. The journey doesn't end at birth, and I would be so honored to help any mother have a more pleasant fourth trimester!
Hi, thanks for taking a minute to read about me!
I am a mother, wife, yogi, bookworm, and wanna-be world traveler. I am also a birth doula, Hypnobabies instructor, placenta encapsulation specialist and trainer, bengkung belly binder- offering differing styles/patterns for binds, and a fertility educator.
As a doula and childbirth educator, I love to help moms have the best birth possible whatever that means to them. Providing moms with knowledge equates to power for them and their birth experience. Helping women learn and understand tools needed to help create a peaceful birthing experience, is something I consider vital for a birthing woman and am proud to offer that.
I have supported moms in many birth situations such as vaginal breech birth, home births, planned epidurals, special needs c-section, and unmedicated births. I am very familiar with Hypnobabies, Bradley, and HypnoBirthing methods of childbirth as well as many other mindful birthing practices. I have built and maintained good working relationships with many of the care providers along the Northern Wasatch Front and am committed to creating and maintaining a positive birth experience for a mother and her birth team.
My role as a postpartum service provider is multi-faceted and I try to help my clients however is needed. The most popular ways I do this is with placenta encapsulating and belly binding. I've seen amazing benefits from both services that helps new mothers ease into their new roles confidently. I also help with breastfeeding as needed and can refer to experts in this field if it is beyond my knowledge.
As a fertility educator, I strive to help women understand their menstrual cycle and fertility patterns. Being aware of our fertility pattern is the first line of defense in spotting any type of menstrual or infertility issues, all of which have something to do, on some level, with our hormones. I help women recognize that what we put in to our bodies has a direct effect on the many uncomfortable symptoms that women experience on a regular basis. I want women to have a happy period!
If any of this sounds like something right up your alley, let's chat!
Please visit my website for class listings, availability, contact info, and documents for my services.
I am proud to serve the women in Salt Lake, Davis/Weber counties, and surrounding Logan areas.
I am a wife and mama of two. I specialize exclusively in maternity, birth, and lifestyle newborn photography!
I have a deep love for laughter, babies, and good food. I love TJ Maxx, baking, hot showers, Netflix, and anything coconut. When I’m not behind the camera, I can be found chasing my two babies around and aimlessly roaming the aisles of Target.
I believe in genuine, real moments. Those small, fleeting moments that are easily forgotten. Capturing the raw emotions of those around me is my passion. My style is pure, organic, simple, and fresh. Although I appreciate all types of photography, I have a thing for Motherhood. Nothing makes me feel more fulfilled than capturing every new stage of it, from pregnancy to delivery to cuddling up with your toddler watching Trolls for the millionth time. I love it all. It’s hard and messy, but so beautiful and so worth remembering.
My passion for birth, babies, breastfeeding, and mothering began 8 years ago when I was pregnant with my first. After having an amazing birth with my first child, I continued to read and learn and quickly realized that I wanted to become a doula. That journey has brought me such joy and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
I have been a doula for 7 years and a childbirth educator for 5 years. I have supported women in all different types of births including natural hospital births, home births, planned epidurals, VBACs, cesarean sections, etc. Each woman and birth is different and unique and my goal is to support you in your dream birth experience.
I am also a certified Birth Boot Camp instructor, an award winning natural childbirth class made for the modern couple. These classes will prepare you to have an amazing birth. You will learn all about your birth options, pregnancy nutrition and exercise, the process of labor and birth, medical interventions, comfort measures and coping techniques, relaxation, newborn procedures, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and more. You will learn everything you need to know!
I also offer Bengkung belly binding, postpartum doula services, and will soon be offering placenta encapsulation. I look forward to partnering with you to help you have a happy BIRTH day!
I have been a Doula practicing in the Salt Lake Valley for 10 years. My training included working with my mentor who is a licensed clinical hypnotherapist and one of the busiest doulas in the Salt Lake Valley. During the year that I shadowed with her I attended hundreds of births and sitting in on multiple childbirth class series. I continue to further my education by attending conferences every year and have training in all relaxation and coping techniques that can be useful during childbirth. Including, the use of essential oils, acupressure, music therapy, hydrotherapy, movement, spinning babies, Bradleys, hypno birthing, hypno babies, mindful breathing and more. It is important to me that each mother and her partner feel supported and then dad's especially feel included and able to participate at the level that they desire. As my husband put it after the birth of our first son and the use of our Doula "the Doula was there to make (Dad) feel like a knight in shining armor, able to help him say all the right thing and make all the right suggestions"
I am also an educator for Birth Learning, my partners and I teach an advanced Doula training. In addition to our Doula services.
I also teach a coping skills class to assist in the postpartum recovery process. This class is targeted for those who might be experiencing prenatal or postpartum depression anxiety or mood disorders.
I also teach hypnosis and mindfulness 101.
This class is designed for professionals or parents who are interested in learning about using relaxation techniques like mindfulness, meditation or hypnosis during childbirth.
Another class that I teach is a religion based childbirth class titled Created to Birth. This class is designed to help mothers connect to the gifts they have been given by their Creator. To help them have a more positive birthing experience as they gain knowledge and information about being designed to birth and build coping skills.
Hi! My name is Dezarae Weyburn, and I’m the owner of No Treble Motherhood Services. I have two beautiful children of my own, and fell into the birth world accidentally while I was expecting my first baby in 2012. I started reading to prepare myself for pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding and got swept off my feet with how much I loved learning about birth.
I am passionate about helping families achieve their personal version of a "perfect" birth, and supporting them in labor and the early days of parenting.
I’m currently training with Stillbirthday as a birth and bereavement doula and I am excited to continue learning and growing in all capacities. I serve primarily Davis and Weber counties in Utah, although I’ll travel up to Box Elder or Morgan, and also down to Salt Lake City area.

I became a doula in 2003 and have helped hundreds of couples prepare for their positive birth experience in over 20 area hospitals and many birth centers and homes. Watching people become empowered by knowledge is one of my favorite aspects of doula work. Professional labor support starts long before labor begins and continues into the postpartum period. I always learn precious lessons about life from the clients I serve and feel blessed by my association with them. While I enjoy every type of labor and birth, I especially enjoy the challenge of high-risk scenarios and the extra support components that accompany the situation. Involving partners to their comfort level is a favorite aspect of doula work I enjoy. I feel that I have the very best job in the world-- to love, support, and empower women.
My name is Jessica Poulsen and I am a mother of 1 energetic little boy and 1 sweet little girl. I am passionate about many things including breastfeeding, gentle and instinctual parenting, and empowering women to take charge of their bodies and their births.
I have been a CAPPA Certified Birth Doula for 4 years and have been an advocate of women's rights (especially in the sacred experience of birth) for as long as I can remember. I started my journey into the birth worker world after the birth of my son. I realized during my not-so-woman-centered birth that having more Doulas in the area was MUCH needed. I later went on to have the most healing and empowering birth experience 2 years later that even further instilled this passion and fire for birth within my soul. Every single woman deserves to feel the way I felt that day and as I Doula I make that my goal. Whatever your birth preferences are, YOU deserve to feel empowered and in the drivers seat.
I believe birth can be an enjoyable, transcending, life-changing, and empowering experience. I believe birth is a safe physiological event, not a medical emergency. I chose to become a doula to educate women about their options and aid in making their birth experience a positive one. Trusting a woman's intuition and allowing their choices of where and how to give birth should be encouraged and embraced.
Maura Mendenhall has been providing doula services to families since 2013. She is a trained birth doula with DONA (Doulas of Northern America.) Her experiences have included un-medicated and fully medicated labors, back labors, water births, hospital, birth center and home birth settings, comfort measures and relaxation techniques, rapid labors, posterior births, rainbow babies, high risk pregnancies, relinquishment through adoption as well as breastfeeding and postpartum support. She is currently training to become a certified hypnodoula.
As a doula, Maura's purpose is to provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support the entirety of labor, birth, and immediately postpartum. She strongly believes that birth should never be something to fear. It is a journey intimately shared between parents and their baby. Any circumstance can be wonderful and inspiring with the right support.
Maura services both Utah county and parts of Salt Lake County.
Maura is a mother of three beautiful daughters and a birth mom to a wonderful little boy. She and her family live in Provo, Utah.
Hi! I’m Ashlie Hashimoto and I first learned about doulas eight years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. Just like every mother, I began to search out options for my birth. This led to me to learning about doulas, a word in which I hadn’t even heard before this point. As soon as I educated myself, I knew I needed one on my team, so I hired an amazing woman to help my partner and I on this wild ride of pregnancy and into parenthood. Fast forward eight years and here I am now serving women and helping families enter a new chapter in their lives!
I've now been a birth doula for over 4 years and in that time have attended over a 100 births. In that time I've learned so much and my passion and love for my job just keeps growing. I believe that birth is birth is birth, be that in a hospital or at home. Everyone deserves to be supported in whatever that looks like. My end goal is that families felt like that had options and were in charge of their own process whatever that may be.
As a wife and Mom of two children I have given birth both in a birth center and hospital setting. I believe childbirth is an empowering act and that EACH and EVERY birth is a beautiful miracle of life. I am passionate about serving women and honored to witness the birth of your next child. I am a certified HypnoDoula and completed my coursework through the Curtis Method of Hypnobirthing. I have also attended trainings in the Bradley Method of childbirth. Using natural techniques and comfort measures my desire is to help all women experience a beautiful and peaceful birth.
Your birth your way! Whether you are desiring a natural water birth, a medicated birth or a planned cesarean the continuous support of a doula provides you with continued support for you and your birth preferences. I am here to support and your birth wishes!
During the Postpartum time, it is my desire to support you and your family in however you are best served! This could include preparing nourishing foods, breastfeeding support, home cleaning and organization, sibling bonding, running errands and writing your birth story!
In my free time, I love to experiment in the kitchen with new healthy recipes, teach youth and adult cooking classes, garden, hike and spend time with my husband and two children.
Complimentary consultations are available!
Hi! My name is Melissa Olson and I own Bundles of Joy Doula Services. I love doula work and I am so happy I found this path back in 2014. To be able to witness the miracle of childbirth and help empower mothers and their partners is truly rewarding.
I take a small client load of 1-2 clients a month. This enables me to really commit to you and your needs. When you hire me you can rest assured that I will not be dividing my time between you and multiple other clients. I am YOUR doula.
I have a special passion for working with first-time parents. There is nothing quite so amazing as watching a couple become parents for the first time and I absolutely love being present to witness such a remarkable time in their lives.
One of my strengths truly lies in my ability to empower partners during the labor and birthing process. In addition to my primary goal of helping the laboring mother find her strength and power, I really bring the partner into the team and teach them what to do, how to do it and why. When they have the knowledge and encouragement behind them they can be such an incredible force in the birthing space. So if you have a partner that is iffy on hiring or doula or pretty unsure about the birthing process in general, let's talk!
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering me as your doula.
I am a mom to my own 5 young children, a new midwife, doula, placenta encapsulation specialist and belly bind-er .
The moment your baby is born is one that can never be experienced again. Make it the best it can be - your birth, your way. With over 16 years of experience, I can help you plan for, prepare, and navigate your birth experience to make it be a good one.
My Name is Sarah Andreason. I've been a doula for 3 years. I am currently working on my CAPPA certification, and am also forming a doula birth group to meet all your pre and postnatal needs.
Hi I’m Emily! Thank you for considering me to be your doula. I love all things pregnancy: birth, mothers, and babies! I completed a DONA approved birth doula training in 2011 and I have been attending to mothers in labor ever since. Please visit my website to learn more about me, including the services I offer and my rates.
I live in the foothills of Salt Lake with my wonderful husband, 4 beautiful children, and our Golden Retriever, Iris. Before becoming a doula, I worked in the medical field for 17 years from ophthalmology to orthopedics!
I began my doula work in 2012. I am trained in both labor and postpartum by ProDoula and DONA, certified Stillbirthday bereavement doula, and a Certified Newborn Care Specialist. I strive to provide professional, honest care to all of my clients.
I am passionate about sleep, baking, and traveling.
At Wasatch Doulas, my partner, Kiki Norman and I provide a wide spectrum of post birth doula services as well as personalized sleep consulting and advice and expert mother and newborn care. We are the premier doula services for overnight care. We are considered the modern alternative to a baby nurse or night nanny.
My favorite part of being a doula is all of the new families I get to meet. Every family is unique and deserves custom-tailored care, but they all have something in common. They love their children.

I completed my birth doula training with Kristi Ridd-Young and Kristy Huber through Salt Lake Community College in May 2016. I was also very fortunate to be able to do postpartum doula training with Kristy Huber in April 2016. This training was through the Midwives College of Utah.
I have a very loving and supportive husband who supports all of my crazy ideas and dreams. We have two beautiful kids together that we just adore and love spending all of our time with.
For as long as I can remember, I have loved everything pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood related. I have always wanted to be somehow involved in the medical aspect of it all. It didn't become aware to me that I wanted to do doula work until my little sister had her first baby. After seeing her experience and talking to her doula, who is also a friend of mine, I then knew this was my calling in life. I wanted to support other women in their birthing experiences, this is my passion.
I want to empower and support women through their transition into motherhood. I feel that every woman has great strength within her, and it is a privilege to see it shine through whenever I am working with them. I would love to be considered for your upcoming birth, congratulations on the next chapter of your life.
Hi Mommas! I am Jennifer Harker and I am a DONA trained Birth Doula. All my life I knew I wanted to do something to help people and make the world a better place and after I gave birth to my son in 2013 I found my passion... empowering women to have positive birth experiences.
The birth of my son was the best experience of my life shared with my husband. We loved the medical support and loved the venue, but there was a missing ingredient that I didn't know we needed...a DOULA! I really wish there was someone there to give my husband and I the emotional and physical support to get through those tough moments. My husband was the best support but he at times felt helpless and there were times I desperately needed words of encouragement. Later that year I found a DONA Doula class that I could use as credit to finish my Bachelors and it changed my life.
I am so amazed by the human body and the journey the women go through in labor and delivery and that those positive experiences carry over into motherhood. The births I have attended since then have been the most precious empowering experiences I have seen of motherhood. Gosh we can do hard incredible things!!!
I believe that no matter the circumstance or challenges along the journey of giving birth that a positive experience is possible with the right support. I offer my support and services to mothers and families on this journey.
My services include:
- 2 prenatal visits
- 2 foot zone balance therapy sessions
- help with developing a birth plan if desired
- 24/7 phone and texting support
- continuous labor support
- use of essential oils and acupressure support in labor
- 1 postpartum visit
I am honored to be a witness to the power of women and want to offer education love and support during this miraculous life event.
Years ago I had never heard the word Doula, but something inside me knew that women needed support and encouragement during this special time. Whether it was by natural birth, epidural or a c-section, I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to be the one who would support the mother and the father through their experience. I have been to numerous hospital births and home-births while living in Ireland and the US.
I am knowledgeable in essential oils and nutrition. I am also a DONA trained Doula with Advanced Doula Training through Midwives college of Utah. I look forward to becoming a childbirth educator and offering childbirth classes. I am planning on furthering my education and will continue a rewarding life of serving families.
We have 5 wonderful sons and 1 beautiful daughter that makes our family complete. Our family stays pretty active. My husband and sons are runners, rock climbers, hikers and swimmers. My daughter loves music, singing and the beautiful outdoors. I love walking, hiking and camping but not to the extreme standards of my husband and sons. 🙂 I also love old homes and home decor. While living in Ireland I obtained a certificate in Interior Design.
I love families, I love babies and I love supporting a mom and dad through this amazing process offering my knowledge and encouragement.
Congratulations on your pregnancy. If I can assist you or answer any of your questions, please feel free to contact me.
I am a licensed massage therapist since 1997 and a doula since 2003. I have a private practice in Clearfield called The Healing Tree Massage and Bodywork. I am from Utah and love this beautiful outdoor state.
I have 3 amazing children who are my teachers. With each of my children they taught me different unique things going through the birthing process with them. I cherish these lessons and I am always pursuing new ways to grow in everything that I do.
Pregnancy, birth, and babies...I love it all. I view birth as an opportunity for healing and growth. This is also an opportunity to listen/communicate with your body. I love assisting mothers and fathers in having rewarding and positive birth experiences. This is a parent experience not just a mother experience. I enjoy helping the partner be involved in this process.
I bring a lot of unique qualities to a birthing experience. I teach dance, yoga, and meditation classes which help with movement, visualization, and finding a balanced/centered place within. I offer a free massage/energy work session as part of my doula package. Touch can be a very useful tool at a birth experience as well. I specialize in energy work which is also very helpful because it deals with more of the emotional and mental components. I use techniques such as rebozo and spinning babies. I also do belly binding. I am happy to work with families on payment options as well.
I delight in creative adventures of all kinds and varieties. In my down time I like to hike, read, watch movies and play with my children in various ways.
I'm a licensed massage therapist turned doula. I am in the process of getting my DONA doula certificate as well. I am constantly learning about both massage and different doula techniques.
I have been a doula for 9 years. I have met some fabulous friends during that time. I love serving couples as they navigate into parenthood. As a postpartum doula I have worked with strong and amazing women who are severely struggling with postpartum depression and psychosis. I also get to help families smoothly become families with breastfeeding support, newborn care, mom care, meal prep, house keeping, etc. I will be the extra set of hands to make your postpartum life an easier transition.
I love sharing information and education with others. I wholeheartedly want moms to have a safe place to turn when they see darkness instead of light.
I have had the opportunity to work, learn and train within the birthing community since 2010; purposeful growth and development as a birth doula began in 2013. I have extensive experience supporting the physical and emotional needs of laboring women. I believe a key hallmark is my ability to provide unbiased and objective information empowering women to make their own choices and decisions. I, like most modern, competent doulas profoundly respect my clients and their wishes. I am DONA, ICEA and PRODOULA trained and am actively engaged in acquiring my Birthing From Within childbirth educator and mentoring certification. I graduated from the University of Utah in 1999 with a BS in Behavioral Science & Health with a minor in Sociology. I later had the opportunity to attend The Graduate School of Midwifery at Bastyr University located in Seattle, Washington. Prior to engaging in my graduate studies I was employed as a Clinical Scientist; this research-focused employment exposed me to a wide-range of therapeutic topics, ultimately leading me to focus on women’s health and wellness issues. During this period I also had the opportunity of becoming a mother; the single most profound experience(s) of my life.
I have had the opportunity to serve on The Board of The Utah Doula Association and am actively involved in the Volunteer Doula Program sponsored by The University of Utah Hospital via the Associates of Birth Care Health Care.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University. Since having my children, I have been a full time mother and have loved every minute. Once all of my kids began school, I joined the University of Utah’s volunteer doula program in 2015. This gave me wonderful training and many opportunities to help women who wouldn’t have had the blessing of a doula otherwise. I felt a fire and excitement through these experiences, and I knew I wanted to further pursue this path. I received my training through Doulas Of North America (DONA) and am currently completing certification. I will also complete Advanced Hypnodoula training, March 2017.
In my free time I like to hike, cook, volunteer at my kids schools, read, perform musical theatre, organize things, and play cards/board games with my family.
You can read more about me on my website.
I am a birth doula, postpartum doula and board-certified music therapist serving families in Salt Lake County. I love working with all families including LGBTQ+ parents, adoptive parents, and single parents. I accompany families giving birth in the hospital, a birth center, or at home, and I support all types of birth. I believe it is every birthing person’s right to be educated about their birth options, and to have a birth experience that is safe, supported and empowering.
As a board-certified music therapist, I have extensive clinical training on how to use music to help people reach goals, experience deep inner connection, and process difficult emotions. I specialize in Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth, an evidence-based technique where I help expecting families incorporate music into their labor in order to experience deeper connection, confidence and strength during their birth experience. I also help parents write original songs called "womb songs" to their babies, facilitating deep bonding and connection.
I believe in the strength of women. Bringing a child into the world is a bonding experience for mother and father. My goal as your doula is to assist you in understanding birth options, deepen your knowledge about the process of birth, and enable mother and father to focus on each other and their newborn by providing continuous emotional and physical support during labor.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Genetics from BYU and will soon finish doula certification with Childbirth International.
Hiya, my name is Susan Mossman. I am a DONA certified birth and postpartum doula, certified lactation counselor, placenta specialist and childbirth educator.
I have always had a passion for supporting women and have been a birth junky since the birth of my son 18 years ago.
While accompanying my husband (USAF) to a base in the UK, I became involved in a group called M!nd the Gap. It was designed to support women during pregnancy, throughout birth and postpartum whilst their partners were deployed. I realized that the support we were giving these women was doula work. I decided to professionally train as doula in 2013.
Our family moved to Hill AFB in 2015. I have had the honor to continue serving military and non-military families in Weber/Davis counties.
Please feel free to e-mail or call with any questions about my services. I would love to chat with you about what your ideal birth experience looks like.

She believes in empowering women with the knowledge of all the many options available to the pregnant mother; that touch is vital to healing, and is incredibly powerful in aiding relaxation and alleviating pain and discomfort. Latissa has had the privilege of attending all kinds of births, home, hospital, natural, epidural and cesarean section. She’s grateful for the experience in assisting in all births, and supporting the mother in any choice she makes.
“On a physiological level, our bodies change so drastically so quickly as we go through the process of bringing a baby into this world, that it is no wonder we are met with a variety of aches and pains, and that our bodies can feel foreign to us. Our ligaments, joints, muscles and skin are all being pulled and stretched and strained, and we experience an imbalance between them all. It is important to help the body transition, and relax, and strengthen what is weak and tired so that we can relieve the pain caused from the imbalance. Touch is very powerful. The right touch can be the ultimate healer, more powerful than any drug. It can be the difference between life and death.Truthfully, we cannot live without touch. No drug can substitute it. I see dramatic, real life changes in my client’s quality of life every day, and they are healthier inside and out. It only makes sense to use massage during the most physically challenging and changing thing we will ever go through.” – Latissa Graham
