As a wife and Mom of two children I have given birth both in a birth center and hospital setting. I believe childbirth is an empowering act and that EACH and EVERY birth is a beautiful miracle of life. I am passionate about serving women and honored to witness the birth of your next child. I am a certified HypnoDoula and completed my coursework through the Curtis Method of Hypnobirthing. I have also attended trainings in the Bradley Method of childbirth. Using natural techniques and comfort measures my desire is to help all women experience a beautiful and peaceful birth.

I have experience supporting women whether their birth is unmedicated or medicated, an induction, VBAC, or Cesarean. I bring skill, education, and intuition to your birth as well as a great respect for the many ways birth may unfold. Every birth is beautiful in its own right and I strive to meet you where you are with sensitivity and supporting your power to own your experience.
I am grateful for each woman who has chosen me to be a part of her transformation to mother, whether it is to her first baby or to her sixth…
My name is Amanda Jenkins and I love birth! I am the second oldest of 8 children and was able to witness 3 of my younger siblings’ births as they were born at home. As a child I loved reading all of my mom’s books about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and mothering and grew up excited to experience birth myself.
My husband and I had our little boy in 2013 at a freestanding birth center with an amazing midwife. It was everything I had ever dreamed of and more. With the support of my birth team, I felt so loved, protected, and empowered. I recently had our second child at the same birth center and had an equally, if not better, experience.
Since experiencing it myself, my love for birth has just kept growing! I decided that I needed to become a Doula and help other women discover their dream birth experience as well. I am a certified Doula through the Childbirth International Doula program and also spent some time volunteering with the U of U Doula program. I believe every woman deserves to have their best birth possible, and I want to help you achieve that goal.
I have experience supporting women in their births at home, birthing centers and hospitals.

I am humbled and honored to assist women and their families during such an amazing moment. Women are amazing and powerful, and I remain in awe of each and every one of you.
Hi! I am a birth doula of 6 years and a Certified Lactation Counselor of 2 years. My passion is to support all women in their journey to motherhood. My own journey into motherhood is what led me to the incredible world of birth work! I had the most amazing support and wished the same for every birthing woman, so I became a doula!
A woman’s birth story, the one that she will remember and reflect on for years to come, is so important and sacred to me. My goal is to help facilitate in making that story a positive one, in whatever way the birth unfolds. I am always in awe and honored to be by her side!
My other ‘birthy’ passion is breastfeeding. I became a CLC in 2014 when I began noticing that many new moms didn’t have the proper support to successfully breastfeed their newborns in those first few days. I wanted to aid in and promote a positive breastfeeding experience right from the start, the moment that little baby was born. My training has empowered me to support women in their wishes to breastfeed their infants without pain and frustration. I love seeing these new moms smile when their newborn latches on successfully!
I am a Doula, Childbirth Educator, and mother of 5. I’ve worked as a medical social worker and pregnancy/postpartum support group leader for many years, and specialize in support for women with past trauma or anxiety. Along with doula care, I facilitate an optional Mother Blessing. This is a gathering in addition to or in place of a baby shower, where women come together to provide emotional and physical support for your upcoming birth. I became a doula in 2003 and have helped hundreds of couples prepare for their positive birth experience in over 20 area hospitals and many birth centers and homes. Watching people become empowered by knowledge is one of my favorite aspects of doula work. Professional labor support starts long before labor begins and continues into the postpartum period. I always learn precious lessons about life from the clients I serve and feel blessed by my association with them. While I enjoy every type of labor and birth, I especially enjoy the challenge of high-risk scenarios and the extra support components that accompany the situation. Involving partners to their comfort level is a favorite aspect of doula work I enjoy. I feel that I have the very best job in the world– to love, support, and empower women.
Hi! I’m Ashlie Hashimoto and I first learned about doulas eight years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. Just like every mother, I began to search out options for my birth. This led to me to learning about doulas, a word in which I hadn’t even heard before this point. As soon as I educated myself, I knew I needed one on my team, so I hired an amazing woman to help my partner and I on this wild ride of pregnancy and into parenthood. Fast forward eight years and here I am now serving women and helping families enter a new chapter in their lives!
I’ve now been a birth doula for over 4 years and in that time have attended over a 100 births. In that time I’ve learned so much and my passion and love for my job just keeps growing. I believe that birth is birth is birth, be that in a hospital or at home. Everyone deserves to be supported in whatever that looks like. My end goal is that families felt like that had options and were in charge of their own process whatever that may be.
I am a birth doula, postpartum doula and board-certified music therapist serving families in Salt Lake County. I love working with all families including LGBTQ+ parents, adoptive parents, and single parents. I accompany families giving birth in the hospital, a birth center, or at home, and I support all types of birth. I believe it is every birthing person’s right to be educated about their birth options, and to have a birth experience that is safe, supported and empowering.
As a board-certified music therapist, I have extensive clinical training on how to use music to help people reach goals, experience deep inner connection, and process difficult emotions. I specialize in Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth, an evidence-based technique where I help expecting families incorporate music into their labor in order to experience deeper connection, confidence and strength during their birth experience. I also help parents write original songs called “womb songs” to their babies, facilitating deep bonding and connection.
