Anna Marie Jones, RN

Anna Marie Jones has been providing care to mothers and their little ones for as long as she can remember.  Her passion for this work started out in the birthing suites of her family’s ranch watching the birth, bonding and nursing process with cows, horses, pigs, cats, dogs, you name it!  Anna Marie has since gone on to receive formal training and has worked as a Registered Nurse for 11 years, the past 9 years in Labor and Delivery.  She currently works at Ogden Regional Medical Center’s Family Birth Place.  She has enjoyed various roles there including Clinical Supervisor, Charge nurse, Antepartum, Postpartum, Newborn, and Labor and Delivery. Over the past 9 years she has collaborated with many doulas in the community providing care to new moms and dads. It is her privilege to be part of families’ most memorable moments.

She attributes her love and passion for birth to an “Ol Indian Squaw” who spent countless hours demonstrating the “art” of nursing and caring for the mother and family as one.

When not supporting families in the birth process, she is with her soulmate caring for her 2 children and 4 bonus children. She is preparing to take her boards to become a Family Nurse Practitioner Spring/Summer 2018.

Anna, her niece, and great-niece and this past summer.

Anna had the opportunity to be her niece’s nurse. McKell was induced, had an unmedicated delivery and was able to have a successfully VBAC.  She and her husband Kyle did an amazing job on a day full of emotions as they welcomed their little rainbow baby, Vivian (the name Vivian means: “to live”).

Mckell had her 1st baby at a birth center, her 2nd was a transfer from the birth center to the hospital where she had a full term loss, and then our little Miss Vivian.

She wants doulas to know that there is so many ways to have a beautiful birth and there is not a cookie cutter version for every family. That is part of the beautiful part about our service is that we are a part of a custom tailored birth each time.
