Hello, I’m Makayla Stewart, I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2019 and a certified doula since 2021. I studied massage at Cortiva, where I learned many different modalities and ways to heal the body. Once I graduated I started working for a chiropractic office where my focus has been injury repair. Over the years I have learned how to bring comfort and relaxation to a person while also improving any ongoing pain. I am continuing to learn more modalities to best assist in pre and postnatal care. I was certified to be a doula through Birth Boot Camp. This gave me a more intimate knowledge of birth and how to help mothers and their partners have the birth they want. I also have a growing network of class instructors, midwives, chiropractors, and more. My knowledge of birth and the body combined with my passion and resources makes me a valuable asset to the families I serve. In my spare time I enjoy taking my dog on hikes or just enjoying a quiet night in. I strongly believe in natural healing and am striving to live a more zen life. I live in Lindon Utah, but I serve families from Spanish Fork to SaltLake and everywhere in between. You can reach me on my facebook page, Makayla Stewart Doula and LMT, or by phone 385-400-1105.
Hi! I’m Jamie, the face behind Salt Lake Doula. I’m passionate about helping people have an empowered and positive birth experience, as well as assisting with the transition to parenthood in the postpartum. I provide compassionate, unbiased support in your journey through pregnancy, birth and parenthood.
I began my study in massage in 2008, and I fell in love. I fell in love with the art of touch. I fell in love with the human anatomy; how our muscles respond to everything we do, how we hold our emotions in our muscles, how manipulating the tissue can literally fix diseases and release so much more then just tension. I saw and felt my body change. I let go of so many things I had been holding on to. My anxiety decreased. My depression decreased. I felt better; stronger. And more importantly, I felt a power. A healing power that I was able to give. I helped people in real pain. I was able to "fix" their pain. And it was truly amazing. I was actually able to see the results, and I couldn't believe that I had ever lived without massage therapy in my life. I kept thinking, "Why don't more people know about this?" And I knew I was on a mission. A mission to bring the Healing Power of Touch to everyone, because EVERYONE needs it!
Since graduation, I have been able to work on many different bodies, and see so many changes; physically, emotionally, mentally, and even spiritually. I absolutely LOVE what I do. I am married to a wonderful man and we have four beautiful children. I love reading, dating my husband, movies, history, sunflowers, chocolate, the ocean, mountains, sunshine and rain, travelling, gardening, surprises, and supporting women. I have experienced myself a medicated hospital birth, scheduled surgical birth, and two VBAC Hypnobirths, as well as three miscarriages, which means I can empathize and relate to many different types of situations. I look forward to getting to know you and your individual needs and goals. I hope you learn something new, and come experience the Healing Power of Touch.

During my first (twin!) pregnancy, I had a lot of questions, but wasn't always sure who to ask. That pregnancy and birth had several complications, and I'm so grateful that, in the end, all three of us were healthy and well. But looking back, I realize that I would have benefited from more emotional, physical, and informational support during my pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum time. I became a doula so that I can be that support for others!
The VBAC birth of my son was indescribably transformative and empowering. I discovered my life-giving strength and fell in love with birth! I look forward to being by your side as you do the same.
I’m a trained birth and postpartum doula, but focusing on mostly postpartum work right now. New mothers need nurturing, good food, and an experienced woman helper. I love to be part of creating a culture of support and love for families and their babies. I also have lactation training and love helping clients have the best breastfeeding experience they can.
I’m a second generation homeschooling mama of three, who loves reading, art and flowers.
I would love to get to know you and see if we’d be good to work together during your pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey.
As a doula, I believe that pregnancy, birth and life beyond is sacred and unique. I am a loving and passionate advocate for the birthing mother. I believe that every woman has the right to birth where she feels the most comfortable, whether at a hospital, home, nature, birth center or anywhere in-between. The bridge to motherhood is an important time in a woman’s life. I am a rainbow bereavement doula as well and birth is especially sacred after the death of a child. As women we should feel empowered, safe, and loved throughout the whole experience.
I am comfortable and skilled in supporting moms in whatever birth path they choose making sure that every woman feels accomplished, supported, and welcomed into motherhood with love, peace, health and harmony.
Postpartum is also a unique part of my practice. I enjoy the miracle of life and I am skilled in childcare, healing of the body, nutrition, essential oils, and have access to a variety of references for mother’s needs. I especially love to pamper moms and creatively support them after the birth of their children. My postpartum practice is much different than most. I specialize in self-care and healing of the mother.

Hello!
My name is Ali. I’m a Certified HypnoActive Birth Doula, who also happens to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (aka, mental health therapist)! I have felt drawn to the “helping professions” for as long as I can remember. As a mother, therapist, and doula, my soul thrives in spaces of vulnerability, love, hard work, struggle, depth, and growth. My strengths lie in my ability to show up–to stay present in and hold space for the most raw of human experiences. I feel so honored to be invited into such spaces by my clients.
I believe the birth process and experience, from conception through the fourth trimester and beyond, to be a pivotal, transformative, and tender period of life. Being held and supported in compassion and understanding is crucial throughout this time. I would love to walk with you through your journey of becoming.
I birthed my two babies at home, so I feel a particular connection to out-of-hospital births; however I support all types of birth in any environment. All that matters to me is that my clients feel seen, informed, and empowered to be in charge of their birth–to be in the driver seat, rather than just along for the ride as a participant or patient. Ultimately, I hope my clients will have a birth experience that they can feel at peace with and be proud of! We can get there together, no matter what twists and turns your birth may take.
