My Profile
I am so happy you stopped by for a visit. I am a small-town Utah girl turned soldier, computer geek, podcaster, doula, and birth photographer. Fun fact: I drink Pepsi like it’s water, and you can pretty much get me to do anything by offering chocolate cake as an incentive.
Facts about me:
Call me old-fashioned, but, I love making and receiving random phone calls to and from friends; I would much rather talk on the phone if a conversation will take more than a couple of text messages.
When my first VBAC baby was born, I was so excited I kept repeating the words “I did it! I did it! I did it!”, it is that emotional moment that drove me into birth work.
I hate wearing shoes, any time I can get away with slippers or flip-flops, I will- my shoes with laces get doubled knotted and never get untied.
I am a U.S. Army Veteran, I served in South Korea and Hawaii but I still hate Kimchi, and cannot surf (not for lack of trying).
I am known for drinking excessive amounts of caffeine, four kids in five years ruined me!
I turn red as a tomato when I am out in the sun for too long, no matter how many times I reapply sunscreen.
I co-host a podcast called The VBAC Link, it has almost reached one million downloads but, I still cringe when I hear my own voice.
I have a rescue dog named Broccoli, like the vegetable, and a Goldendoodle named Olive.
All my doula services include birth photography! I believe every parent deserves images of the first moments they meet their baby.
