Utah Doula Association 2013 Fall Retreat

It’s that time of year again.  The days are becoming shorter, the leaves are starting to change and preparations for the annual Utah Doula Association fall retreat are in high gear!  You’ve been serving birthing families all year.  Now it’s YOUR turn. 

When: November 9, 2013  ~ 9am- 5:30pm

Where: Holiday Inn Express – 712 S Utah Valley Dr, American Fork, UT

Price: UDA Members $35, NonMembers $45

 Everyone with a passion for birthing families is invited.  Bring your sister, your best friend, your midwife!  Here’s just a small sampling of what we have in store for you:

• Beautiful, Personal Henna Decoration

• Presentation: Communicating What You Want in Life

• Networking? Yes! Bonding with your doula sisters? Oh, yes!

• and many more juicy surprises!

 

What to bring:

• A potluck item to share

• An item to add to our fragrant salt bowl, e.g. a spice, fresh lemon peels, an herb etc.

 

What you need to know:

 

Feel free to dress comfortably.  Lunch is served potluck style but heating and cooling availability is unknown at this time.  You may wish to pack your cool item with cold packs or your warm item in a crockpot that can be plugged in or simply bring something that may remain room temperature.  Babes in arms are always welcome! If your child begins to communicate a need noisily please be respectful of others and step out of the room.  This event is being held at a hotel.  Consider prolonging the fun by booking a room the night before or after the retreat!  We are much looking forward to spending what is sure to be a very lovely day with you.
